Variations

If you are selling simple items that have no variants, just skip this screen.

Variations are things that can vary in a single product. For example, if you sell t-shirts in three different sizes (small, medium and large), each of these sizes is called a variation.

To add variations to your product, you must first go to the Variations screen and create a variation set. The set in this case could be called “sizes”, and the three values would be “small”, “medium”, and “large”. Once you have created your variation sets you can add them to your products in the product display form.

Adding a variation set to a product is simple: edit the product you want to add the variation set to, scroll down to Variation Control and select the variation set from the drop-down menu. Note that you can set different prices and inventory levels for the different variations.

If your product needs more than one set of variations (e.g. colors as well as sizes), simply create another set on the Variations screen and then add it to your product in the product display form.
