Payment Options

You will need to choose a method for accepting payments from your customers. These are by accepting Manual Payments, Credit Card Transactions, or a mixture of both.

Manual Payments: Are for transactions not conducted online, such as the customer calling you with a credit card number or mailing you a check or money order. The manual payments blank is where you can place instructions for these kinds of transactions.

Payment Gateways: The standard version of WP E-Commerce comes allows you to accept payment manually and via PayPal, Google Checkout, and Chronopay.

Known issues (2008-07-21):  Some users have also described problems with the PayPal development server. There have also been problems reported with shipping calculations in Google Checkout, but this will not be a problem if you are only selling digital downloads.

The Gold Cart module allows you to integrate your shopping cart with Authorize.net, Payment Express, eWay, Paypal – Payflow Pro, Bluepay and Protx Modules.

Each payment gateway has its own pros and cons and pricing – to get started quickly at a minimum cost, we recommend Paypal or Google Checkout.
