To help make your shop attractive to your customers we’ve built in some fancy tools that are designed to help you achieve more sales and get more traffic.
If you browse to the Marketing Settings page in your e-Commerce admin site there are a number of features available to shop owners.
Coupons: Coupons let you set up discount codes that people can enter on your checkout page. These discounts will subtract the discount amount from their shopping cart accordingly. You can specify whether or not the discount is dollar-based or percentage-based, you can specify a start time and end time, you can specify whether coupons apply to all products, and you can specify whether the coupon can be used more than once.
Display Cross Sales: If you have this option selected then when you click on a product it will show your customers a list of other products that people have bought that have already bought the product you are currently looking at. This feature works in the same way that Amazon does its Cross Sales and helps customers find other products that they might be interested in.
Note: Cross-sale suggestions are automatically generated from the purchase history in your store. There is not yet a way to specifically choose which products will be recommended.
Share This: This options allow your visitors to share your products via social bookmarking sites and/or e-mailing the product to a friend.
Display Survey: This feature is quite young and is not as feature-rich as it could be. Essentially this will add a basic survey to the checkout page asking customers where they came from and how they found your site. This information is saved in your Purchase Log for that customer. RSS Address: Each product catalogue has an RSS feed – you can find your RSS feed address here. If you add the GetShopped Facebook application to your Facebook profile your friends can see your products in Facebook. This will be improved over time – we see significant value in helping you promote your products in Social Networking spaces.
