Not only are we sponsoring WordCamp New York, but I will be attending, “and” I have been confirmed as one of the speakers. Of course it goes without saying that I will be talking about and demonstrating the worlds most popular WordPress e-Commerce Plugin.
The WordCamp New York website is a very special website for us. It is the first WordCamp website to use the WP e-Commerce Plugin as a method to sell tickets online. The Ticket Plugin does a lot of cool things – it integrates with gravatars to create a spiffing attendee page, it generates pdf documents that administrators can use to print a list of attendees on the day, plus we have built a range of stats related dashboard widgets so that the organizers can quickly and easily get an overview of how ticket sales are going. I’ll demonstrate all of this on the day during my action packed presentation.
Also I will be arriving in New York on the 12th of November and I will be leaving on the 19th of November, that gives me plenty of time to meet with lots of you. I am interested in discussing e-Commerce and new business ideas – of course I’m also looking forward to making as many new friends as possible and doing as much networking as time permits. Yup I have a reservation at the Gershwin, if you’re staying there too then we should definitely meet up and go for a coffee and a meal someplace.
