The Fix 3.7.5 Beta1

Note from the Developers: Hi guys, we’ve had a few users who’s server configuration effected their upgrade. We would just like to remind you all that if you aren’t doing so, please backup your databases before upgrading. Round 3.7.5Beta1 is here, mainly a bug fix version. The Dev Team have been busy sorting out some major and minor problems people encountered in the last release 3.7.4.
What we Fixed:

• Shipping Discount Bug that stopped shipping working at all.
• Categories Widget has had numerous changes – more to come.
• Better MU support. We have had some great community help from MU lovers everywhere, and I do believe our base Plugin works well with the latest versions of Wordpress MU. However Gold Cart Options are still being worked on for Wordpress MU.
• Canadian Tax – I don’t know the full details for this one but I believe Canadian Tax now uses all tax settings. Which is what our Canadian Users have been wanting.
• US Tax – We found that US shops that were not using shipping options had problems where the tax did not change when users changed shipping/billing countries. We’ve fixed that and are looking into making tax work slightly differently in upcoming releases.
• Product Categories Caching Issue – Whats the point in a cache that never refreshes? No Point, so we fixed that annoying bug that had many of you up in arms~
• Coupons – ‘Apply to all Products’ was working the opposite way you might imagine, we made it work the way people think it should work.
• ‘Your Account’ – This was not working correctly, we’ve had a look and done some fixes to it.
• ‘Accepted Payment’ goes straight to ‘Closed Order’ – Now it should only do that if all the cart items are download-able products (that way people can download their products once payment has been received)
• Re implementation of the ‘How User Found Us’ survey

Things that did not make it in to this release:

• We have had many people disgruntled by the lack of support and features available in the CSV Import script. Hopefully in beta 2 of this release we will be able to add in some more robust importing script that works on a number of different csv files.
• SSL we have had some complaints that WPEC has been causing issues with SSL, we did some minor changes in the code in this release but hopefully in beta2 we will up the ante and sort it out good and proper.
• The Option for ‘Show list of Product Groups’ only shows the ‘Categories’ Group and none of the others. I was just told this was done for backwards compatibility, we will find a better solution for this soon.
• When duplicating products, their tags do not get duplicated for the new product.
