UPDATE: We released a new version 3.7.4, there was a bug in the shipping module which needed urgent fixing. Sorry guys~
This is a follow up on the mini-update, but even bigger and better. The update includes a few nice little bug patches and feature enhancements, most notably:
- Variations Enhancements – an important bug fix and code modification to try speed up the variations functionality.
- Shipping Discount Option – This was a feature request many of you have been waiting for, the new options are in the shipping panel, add an amount and if the total shopping cart price is more than the amount entered in the back end your user gets FREE SHIPPING!
- Categories Widget fixes – In our last release we modified the categories widget to use a theme engine (so you can style it with ease) only problem was that some functionality was not reimplemented, this release resolves the images showing up when they were not supposed to, and products not listed under the categories.
- Donations Widget fixes – A few people noticed the widget was not adding to the cart, well we can’t have that happen, so we fixed it.
- Credit Card Validation – This one was a long time coming, now all gateways that require users to enter credit card information on the shopping cart page have PHP validation so your not requesting information from the gateway when the user has entered some bad credentials.
- Shipping same as Billing? – For those of you who noticed the new feature that was being worked on in 3.7.2 default theme, we now have an option in the checkout panel allowing you to turn on the javascript checkbox on the shopping cart page ’shipping same as billing’ this option auto fills in the shipping details from the billing details! So if you want it it’s there if you dont want it turn it off ;)
- Optimized SQL Queries – We went through the wpsc_query object and did our best at optimizing it for your convenience.
- List View reimplementation – Last but not least, for those of you hanging out for the list view, we’ve brought it back! New and improved the List View now runs like the other views in our Theme Engine!
There are still HEAPS of great ideas we are looking forward to implementing into the plugin, we are still listening to your ideas in the 3.7.2 feature priortization. So please keep the feedback coming and we’ll keep the good work going!

apparently it removed my Gold Cart files..Can you generate a link for me

I activated the shipping details option and I’m not seeing any change to the checkout page… I’m wondering if it has to do with my Gold Cart files or perhaps my theme?

Sorry – same as billing. I did activate it in the settings section and I did deactivate and reactivate the plugin after upgrade.
I also dont have any change with the shipping options.
Even worse is the fact that shipping isnt even being added to the total at all.
Quick fix anyone?
Using flat rate shipping here, and it does not show in the checkout at all!!

Ever since I updated it stops going over to paypal, and is giving me an error of
“We’re Sorry, your order has not been accepted, the most likely reason is that you have insufficient funds. ”
Because it is not jumping over to paypal correctly for processing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’m going to post in the forum as well
I deleted all my tables from within php my admin that had the wpsc_ and this fixed my problem. Luckily I’m still just building the cart and hope this doesn’t happen again!
Is anyone else having problems with the ‘Normal Price’ being over-written by the variations price when displayed? For example I can’t display the normal price above the actual price when using variations, they just become the same value. Never noticed it until this update. Might be my fault…
Hi James I believe I know what you are talking about, recently Tom disabled special prices on Products with variations, the reason being that special prices on variations was using some obsessively large processing, we are now in mid process of figuring ut a good solution for this, i.e would it be a good idea to have a check box for variations that says, ‘Use Special/Sales Price on All product variations’, then the special/sales price can be shown,,,, does that make sense? sorry for any inconvenience.

hello!! my issue is with the import of products via csv, this tools doesn’t have many fields that they are very important, like image for example, or in my case external link, any one know if this tool will be updated?? This is a shame to have this incomplete, is very important for most online stores.

There is an issues with the Variation class. The table name of the WPSC_TABLE_VARIATION_COMBINATIONS is hard-coded to be `wp_wpsc_variation_combinations` at variations.class.php(235). Quite inconvenient for those of us making use of $wp_table_prefix.
this has been fixed in the dev version, will be posting a new version after some further testing.
Can you help me to find a way to have the product description or additional description recognize Wordpress shortcodes? I need to integrate the pageflip gallery into the products, and this ecommerce systems offers everything I need except that. To display the pageflip book, I need to insert a shortcode into the description, but this editor does not recognize the shortcode like wordpress posts do. Please help…client is driving me crazy!

There seems to be a small, pretty insignificant in the scheme of things, bug in the product admin page that has been introduced with this latest version.
The “Screen Options” tab at the top of the page that should allow for the various panels to be shown/not shown is itself not showing correctly (just shows up as a little blob with nothing in it). I took a look at the source and the options are all there but there seems to be some sort of overlap in the code that is preventing them from working correctly.

Where are the theme files?? There was no folder at this address initially, but the cart gave a message that the permissions were incorrect. I created themes/default, but I cannot find a product_page.php
Also, cannot download a CSV on the Sales page. The link seems to say got to: http://ccgi.isadore.plus.com/artballswp/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpsc-sales-logs&wpsc_admin_action=wpsc_downloadcsv&rss_key=key&start_timestamp=1247250356&end_timestamp=1252341268
but nothing happens.
Also… just wondered if anyone else has this hangover problem from the 2.8 update. If I edit a product, I have to choose to edit in a new browser window or tab to display the editable product.
The Product Categories Widget is still broken. I mentioned this after the last update. See my comment in your previous post for the fix. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi, a bug to report when upgrading from 3.6.12 to 3.7.4
When you change the location of the theme files, they still reference the old locations images folder.
For example:
wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/themes/marketplace/images/atc.gif’

I get this error with all manual payments. new beta does the same. What to do?
This plugin is great, but please can we improve the import table and can we establish minimun orders. I have a client who has a minimun order of $200 and if I can’t figure out how to do this I may have to choose another system. Any ideas as to how to fix this?
