I’m pleased to announce Jan Bocinec from WP.sk as the second “create a theme in a weekend using thematic” challenge. Jan did a really amazing job integrating the threadless shopping cart and designing the navigation system. Sorry for not announcing this earlier – I was speaking at the WordCamp in the UK and I live in New Zealand, I have been spending this time recovering from the trip and catching up on work (we’re gearing up to launch WP e-Commerce 3.7.1).
Unfortunately Jan did not have the time to turn it into a fully finished child theme ready for prime time download – hence it isn’t available yet. So we at Instinct have decided to make some final touches on the single product pages and the checkout pages and then release it when we’ve finished.
The top navigation with the links to “Girls | Guys | Participate | Info” are just dumb HTML at the moment contained in the thematic header. We think these should be dynamic Categories and Brands and we think that you should be able to Drag and Drop products into the cart. Of course it will bolt right into WP e-Commerce too.
So it looks like Jan wins!!! Stay tuned for our next Weekend Challenge – it looks like we’re going to be basing it on a itunes rebuild or an amazon rebuild.

Well done everybody. What an amazing job they did!!
The final theme will be vanilla and it will be different enough to avoid any copyright issues. We love threadless we would never want to damage our relationship with them. Threadless provided a $100 voucher to Jan – who as far as I’m aware now has a much trendier tshirt drawer then before the competition ;)
