WordPress e-Commerce Plugin 3.6.10 RC1

I am pleased to announce that we have just uploaded WordPress e-Commerce Plugin 3.6.10 RC1.

Here are some of the things that we have done (in this release) to improve your WordPress e-Commerce Plugin experience:

  • Members Only Plugin patches for WordPress 2.7
  • Triple dashes in Permalinks for products and categories – fixed
  • Error on purchase log when there were no checkout form fields – fixed
  • Error when GD not installed – fixed
  • Permission problems on some servers – fixed
  • Weight rate, table rate and UPS issues – fixed
  • Flat rate shipping changes
  • Weird pagination bug – fixed
  • Inline Price Edit (quick edit) works again
  • Custom Meta – fixed
  • Updated language files (Italian, Spanish and Dutch)

This version is pretty stable (more stable then 3.6.9). We are still aware of a few bugs in 3.6.9 that we are currently working on – these will be rolled into the full 3.6.10 release sometime next week. Don’t you worry though – these are minor :)

Please post any bugs you find or notices here – you have our attention and we are listening.

I had problems with the Members module and called you (Dan). I was told that this 3.6.10RC1 patch would help. I downloaded and installed this latest release…. however, now the wp-shopping-cart plugin itself fails to to get activated. I’m getting a “fatal error” message in my wp admin panel when I try to re-activate the shopping cart plugin. I have tried everything… delete all the old installs and doing a clean do-over, etc. I need to get this thing up and running urgently and I have paid for your gold modules, etc.

    Quite frustrated! :(

    Upgraded to 3.6.10RC1

The problem i now have is that in the edit product page the variations with the values are showen. So why are the values there?
    The variation page looks normal.
    ??????????

Just made the upgrade, mostly smooth except when editing or adding products the categories/groups were nowhere to be seen!?
(using safari 3 browser on a mac, wp version 2.7)

Also getting the same variations bug as supergrover.

Reverted back to the old version for the moment.

It sounds like you might have overwritten your gold files when you did an update – otherwise they would still be there. Its not like we have taken them away :P

What is happening with your USPS?

Dan, I’m looking for your forum – I’m still on 3.6.9 and getting 400 db queries to a shop table per a page…. even the ones that I have not called the function on.

The variation values are now shown on the products page so that you can turn them off per product.

If say, you had a variation called “colours” and had no blue items of a certain product, you could remove the blue variation from that product.

Thanks Tom. Yes its actually a good thing giving you more control over variations.

Hi Instinct guys, I recently advised a client to purchase gold cart, and my client also purchased the manual someone else was selling, but there’s no support for adding additional payment gateways and my ecommerce developer is having a tough time. Any help you could give regarding adding payment gateway would help as my client has already signed an agreement with mygate in south africa.

I’m also wondering whether there will come a time in your plugins development where adding products would be possible by creating posts in a specific category, it would have been much more powerful to have products added as posts, but with specific custom data attached to them, currenntly styling product items is a huge mission.

Your product looks like the makings of something great, and the free version is good for guys who want to cut the cost of selling online, but I feel the paid for version needs some improvement and needs to be more user friendly as well as better documentation.

    It’s a strange one… Variation stock does not work…???…
When a Variation is ‘off sale’ it can still be added to the cart…???

I can’t get the basic package to work. I have installed the 3.6.10RC1 plugin, but when I attempt to activate it, I get a 500 error. Any idea why this may be happening?

    issues with 3.6.9
    running on WP 2.7

not sure how many of these are happening with other users.
I’ve been able to reproduce the bugs everytime.

    - customer login on checkout page results in website.com/wp-login.php and a blank screen, does not redirect user to checkout screen

    - customer details are not storing properly when entered through the “my account” section. details only store after the logged in user has made a purchase and entered in the information at the time of checkout

    - shopping cart does not empty when returning from a paypal purchase

    - WP Ecommerce does not work/play well with Events Calendar plugin
(this is probably due to thickbox/lightbox etc)

    - WP search does not locate products and returns “nor found”
(can this be corrected with the “search everything plugin”)

    - “WP Ecommerce” and “Maintenence mode” do not play well together. maintenence mode still works, but the logged in admin is unable to view the front-end (which normally you are allowed to do)

For those who have the Spanish problem, find on line 254 the following line:

    define(’TXT_WPSC_SHOWCATEGORIESBRANDS’, utf8_encode(’Mostrar categorías/marcas’));

there is missing a ‘ after marcas

the same happens on line 278. There is a ‘ missing, but the spanish version still have MANY other errors I cannot solve.

in the Dashboard, a lot of items in the the menus show like CODE

    for example: ‘TXT_WPSC_PREVIEW_FILE

I don’t know hot to solve that.
