I have uploaded Release Candidate 3 to the WordPress plugins site. You can find it here:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-e-commerce/download/
Here is a little run down:
- Shipping overhauled fixed RC2 bugs
- Table Rate Price Options
- USPS fix
- Flash Uploader for images has been fixed
- Variations design tweak
- Resend purchase receipt button has been implemented in Sales page
- Customizable email messages
- Inline editing of price
- Manager for Downloadable Products has been improved
- WordPress 2.7 screen options are super hot (Jane we love you)
- You can upload different files for different variations
- Google Base options have been moved to Marketing page
- Page title fix for WordPress 2.7
- Price has been added to packing slip
- You can set display type on a group by group basis (i.e. now your t-shirts can use grid view and your shoes can use default view or list view)
And many other little tweaks here and there. I hope you enjoy RC3.
The full version should be out next week. The full release will have a focus on usability and aesthetics – Code is Poetry.

hi. Thanks for plugin
perfect.
Regards
It’s getting closer and closer to perfect!!
Just don’t know when I should pull the trigger and upgrade though …
Finally I manage to download RC3 files.
Thanks for the update. Cant want for the full version next week.
I still have problem to install it at 1and1.com host:
“Error 500 – Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.”
Those of you who use 1 and 1 hosting and are getting the Error 500, this is a directory permissions issue, just adjust your permissions to run this plugin without problems.
Scratch that, it quit working shortly after a successful activation, try this fix instead: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/184992
Apologies..
I am with “1 and 1″ as well and I cannot activate due to
“Error 500 – Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.” I have tried RC1 & RC3
Nice, thanks for the update :)
@Ed Torres and @Tim Steward
I have 1and1 hosting as well, and I have had that same issue before. It is a compatibility error with another plugin.. I have had a problem with WP Stats, WP-DBManager, WP125, Goog XML Sitemaps as well as the communication plugin built for WP-Commerce. There could be a few more as well..
Hope this helps..
If you deactivate these plugins the e-comm should clear the 500 error.

I have the same problem, but with a fresh installation and without having any further plugins installed. as well as those guys in front of me, at 1und1.de
Any news reagrding this?
@ WP Cult – Thanks for posting that. I agree that it could be plugin incompatibilities based on the fact that RC3 installs perfectly and upgrades perfectly for us here on our testing environments.
When you guys work out which plugins are causing the break let me know and we can see if there is anything we can do. However some plugins are just poorly made and break things… the big thing to remember is to use wp_enqueue when making a plugin. This stops certain Javascript conflicts from happening and you can read more about it here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script
The gold_cart option don’t work at all.
I assume you must have put the gold files in the wrong place – I just tried this on a new RC3 install and it works for me.
Its not downloading. It says file not found for all versions.
There was a problem on wordpress.org today. No plugins at all were working – this should be resolved by now. Strange things happen :P
Would it be possible to list the specific files that you have changed with the latest upgrade? I did some customization of the release prior to the RC2 one – which took me some time to apply to a clean install of RC2. I’d prefer to update the files individually (unless there’s a large number of course).
Hi Dan., can you please add http://www.2checkout.com/ for payment processing for gold. I am going to buy gold cart but there is no 2co.
Hello Dan,
Any chance you had a look at the emails I sent you about the pt_BR.php file?
Still waiting for your contact and the Gold Cart / Grid View Files.
Please get in touch.
Cheers,
William
Upgraded to WP 2.7 today. Really fantastic. Also upgraded to RC3. Upgrade went smoothly. I have on bug, at least on my installation. On the e-Commerce dashboard, current month at a glance, when I click on the pending sales and pending transactions value I get this error:
wp-shopping-cart/display-logs.php
Thanks for a great plugin!
This looks great on my test install (2.7)… can’t wait for the full version ;)
Well done guys…!!!
I saw two problems with RC3:
- A number of settings pages no longer work (like Shipping).
- You should not use nl2br on the text passed to mail, now you get br-tags in the mail message that is sent as purchase acknowledgement.
Two more problems:
- Untranslated string in the purchase acknowledgement (like Purchase No).
- The dutch NL-nl.php file has some garbage characters at the beginning and gives error messages. It is also incomplete (I am willing to help you fix this).
Hey Guys. I am properly back to work at last – last weekend a family member passed away and then to make matters worse I got very sick. Well at least I think staying up and coughing all night can constitute as being very sick.
@ everybody; Today we’ll be releasing RC4 with fixed settings page and deep 2.7 user interface integration. Template engine will come with final release :)
@ William Wright; I promise it will be in RC4
@ Paul; We’ll fix the bugs. If you want to get the Dutch translation file back up to speed that would be fantastic. Please email the language file to me with your changes :)
@ Handcrafted Pens; we’ll fix that today before we upload the new files
@ alarch; All our changes are listed in our Revision Log
The Brazilian Portuguese file has been updated, and the emails sent to the purchaser no longer have BR tags in them.
It seems that when using the new 2.7 version of wordpress, under settings- the shipping checkout and payments tabs are not working.. has anyone experienced this. I am using the RC3 version of the plugin.
I spoke too soon. Looks like this bug is being worked on! We all appreciate the hard work put into this plugin.. Great Job!
No worries Matt. We’re getting closer and closer to RC4 all the time :)
glad to hear RC4 will be release. I am so worried this RC3 so buggy.
we still on track for rc4 today?
regarding the Error 500 on 1and1 hosting, I wiped the database clean, and cleared all the field’s but the original “WP 10″. And with no plugin activated I couldn’t get the latest RC3 on my 2.7 install to work.
But I emptied the database and did a Brand New WP install and the plugin was able to activate. Not sure why.
Will have to figure that one out some time, probably an old plugin with info in the options table..
This Error 500 worries me, but unless I can see the PHP error logs that will show what is causing it, there is nothing I can do about it.
Hi Tom,
My site is also hosted by 1&1 and I get the same “Error 500″.
I am using Wordpress 3.7 and wp-e-commerce 3.6.9.
Is it possible to generate the php log for remote analysis?
The web address is “http://www.auxdelicesdestoutous.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?action=activate&plugin=wp-shopping-cart%2Fwp-shopping-cart.php&_wpnonce=593e04f055″ as soon as I set the plugin.
i have a wordpress installed in 2 directories of a domain.
recently i tried to install wordpress 2.07 with e-commerce plugin but the plugin doesnt seem to display anything but Page Not Found.
how can i resolve this?
Ok, I’m on 1and1 and got that same 500 error when trying to access the admin section when I try to activate all the plugins at once. HOWEVER… I did this:
1. moved the wp-shopping-cart directory out of the plugins dir so it would deactivate so I could get to the admin section again
2. went to the plugins page and deactivated everything
3. moved the cart directory back into the plugins dir and reactivated it (worked fine)
4. Re-added these plugins with success: Akismet, My Page Order, Google XML Sitemaps
5. BUT: when I tried to re-add cforms OR the Livejournal Crossposter, BAM, 500 error was back!
And, I couldn’t get rid of the 500 error that wp-shopping-cart would create when I activated it UNTIL I deactivated all the other plugins, then reactivated the cart, then reactivated the other non-conflicting plugins.
Tom, please email me if you need more info.
Nevermind… My problem appears to be solved with Brian’s answer at the bottom of this forum post:
